Pleased!

We purchased your heavy duty ebike rack and are so pleased with the ease and performance of the rack. Our combined bike weight is 135# and the rack handles beautifully. We are able to fully access our back doors on our camper van while the rack is extended out. Easily pushed back into position the rack rides close to the back of the van for smooth travel mode. Have been recommending it to others! Thanks

Some things I like, Somethings I don't

First, some things I like about this carrier: It is very heavy and sturdy, which you need for ebikes. I like that it slides out far enough so you can easily open the hatchback to the SUV. And its one of the few carriers that is rated for a towed vehicle. But I dont like how close the bikes are to each other. The bolts from one side rub on the opposite bike and are creating wear marks in the bike. Plus, this really doesnt work for a bike with fenders. You dont want to cinch the straps around the fenders, which would warp them, so you have to try to squeeze them between the fender and the tire, very difficult. Plus, after 5 months, the straps have ripped and I’m going to have to replace them. The protective rubber on the wheel posts has also worn off. At this price point, I would like the components to last more than 5 months.

Hi Mindy, Sorry to here about your experience with the V-lectric. The Bikes definitely shouldn't be rubbing, please give our office a call and we will see if we can help remedy these issues. While broken straps is generally considered normal wear and tear, that is pretty odd that they would tear so fast. We can definitely get you replacements for those.

I really wanted to like it

I really wanted to like this bike carrier. Our two e-bikes have fenders and a bag rack each . After countless hours of attempting to get the holders in just the right position and without the opposite end of the screws scratching the bike on the opposite side, I’ve come to the conclusion it’s just impossible. I think it’d work fine if not so many different parts of the bikethat get in the way. Ultimately I’ll probably try to sell this one and order another brand over the winter.
